Sarah A. Schuler, AIA
Director of Architecture
Through her travel and work experience in various regions of the United States and Europe, Sarah has a unique understanding
of how local communities influence architecture. Library design is the primary focus of Sarah’s work
and research at VPS and she has a strong interest in maintaining close client relations throughout the
design process and beyond. Sarah is the current chair of the American Library Association’s Architecture
for Public Libraries Committee.
As a Director of Architecture, Sarah is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of library projects,
including client communication and consultant coordination. She also researches design methods and materials
to arrive at the most appropriate design solution. She works with the entire team throughout the design process
to ensure overall coordination. Sarah brings excellent knowledge, genuine compassion, and effective communication
skills to ensure each project runs efficiently.
