This 55 million
dollar landmark building for Old National Bancorp exemplifies
unique architecture and high-performance design concepts.
The oval-shaped building is located directly on the river,
and from the river, it resembles a ship coming to port.
Its high-performance designs include a raised floor
air system for flexibility,
improved indoor air quality and up to 30% energy savings,
premium daylighting through interior glazing and
solar shading devices,
and energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly
materials and systems.
This project is not only a landmark
in Evansville,
but it is also a landmark in Indiana for environmental
design, as it was the first LEED
registered building in Indiana. LEED, or Leadership
in Energy and Environmental Design, is a national building
standard
for
creating
high-performance, sustainable buildings and recognizes
environmental leadership
in the building industry.
