Community desire for a prominent, yet warm and inviting cornerstone gave birth to this lodge-like library. Two towers flank each end of the library; an adult quiet reading area is secluded behind a stone fireplace in one tower while the children’s reading room is located on the opposite end of the building in the other tower. Located on a hill next door to a high school, this library features a large young adult area, easily monitored from the circulation desk. A large outdoor reading garden is adjacent to the young adult area and the self-service café.

Although traditional in look and feel, this library takes advantage of cutting-edge high performance design with a raised-floor plenum system for energy efficiency and ultimate flexibility for future wiring and cabling changes.
